He was a tonnelier (tanner) from St-Jean, Joigny, archev. Sens, Bourgogne (now
Yonne), France. His marriage contract was signed by Notary LeConte at Quebec on
6 Sep. 1668. In 1681 he was a "tonnelier" in Batiscan. He arrived in 1665, a
soldier in the Froment Company of the Carignan Regiment. He was assassinated by
Julien Talua in 1684. He was a master Coopersmith.
