He was of v. et ar et ev Rennes, Bretagne (now Ille-et-Vilaine), France. He was
45 years old when he died. He was 25 in 1666 in Montreal, working as a domsetic
servant to the Sulpiciens. In 1667 he was 27 years old and in Montreal. In 1681
he answered that he was 35 years and at St-Ours. He was confirmed 21 Sep 1665
in Quebec at the age of 19. He probably was a soldier in the Carignan Regiment.
His marriage contract was filed with Notary; Basset in Montreal.
