He must have had a romantic interest in Francois Grenet, because she married
him only about 2 weeks later. They filed a contract to marry, the very next
day!!

!BIRTH-ORIGIN-DEATH-MARRIAGE-COMMENT-CENSUS: The following information comes
from the book by Rene Jette, "Dictionnaire Genealogique des
Familles du Quebec", 1983, University of Montreal, Page 794. His origin is not
known, but he engaged La Rochelle 11 April, 1656 at the age of 22. He died
sometime between 1697 and 1712 at Contrecoeur, and was said to be 45 years in
1681 at St-Ours. He was a cordonnier (cobbler) and notary for the seigeurial of
St-Ours from April 1673 to August 1693.

settled. He was granted five acres of upland and swamp. He was 80 years old at
his death. His occupation was Felt-Maker.
