!COMMENT-BIRTH-LANDGRANT-DEATH-MARRIAGE-BURIAL: From Joanne Meade's Records;
Born in Scotland in 1587. He arrived on the sailboat LeSallemandie
at Tadoussac on 30 AUG 1620. He received a consession of ground that formed the
plateau the Wolf and Montcalm fought, Plains of Abraham. It is said that his
father was devoted to the cause of Mary Queen of Scotts. He was involved in a
plot to free her from the English. The plot failed and he had to flee to
France. He was said to be 75 years at his death.
