Room, source listed his place of birth, and marraige date, as well as his
parents place of birth. His occupation at the time of his marriage was
Teamster.

!COMMENT: Killed while working on the Memorial Bridge in Portsmouth
that spans the Piscatequa River. He was hit in the head by a falling
hammer. This according to the recollections of Marion A. Hoyt Beesley. Memorial
bridge bids began in Nov. 1920 and continued on the concrete foundation until
Mar 1, 1922. The bridge was completed Dec 20, 1922. According to the 1920
Portsmouth City Directory; Joseph A. (Eva M.) rigger h 16 (2) Hunkin; which
means that he was a rigger who lived at 16 Hunking Street which was #2 at some
prior date. Quick scan of the Portsmouth Herald for a record of this event was
not fruitful. It was a hasty search, and not comprehensive.
