He came from England or from Holland. He was living in Kittery as early as 24
Jan. 1715. He signed the submission to Massachusetts in 1652, and settled at
Eliot Neck, wheere he had a grant of 52 acres by the town 8 Apr. 1651. Six
other grants are also recorded later. His house stood by the river. He was a
planter and surveyor, and was ofter selectman and treasurer of the town. He
was a proprietor of Old Kittery were the common lands of Kittery and Berwick
were divided.
