!COMMENT-WILL-LAND-RESIDENCE: This informatoin from the Conn. Nutmegger;
He was evidently of age when the agreement was made with his
brothers on December 5 1698. He is mentioned in the records from 1697 to 1726.
Presumably he was the Joseph Brundige who sold land to Peter Brown, of
Rye, mentioned in Brown's will of February 11, 1731-32, which also
mentions "two-thirds of a lot of Josua Brundige." On May 20, 1701,
Joseph Brundige of Rye in Westchester County, and Mary his wife, deeded
to Isaac Donham, of the same place, land in the "Plane" near the field in
Rye, bounded by land of Joshua Brundige and land of Peter Disbrow,
deceased. According to Baird's "History of Rye" the above mentioned
Joseph "was probably the father of Joseph Jr, so called in 1719." Mead's
"History of Greenwich" states that the above Joseph (who married Mary)
had a son Joseph. The same book mentions, among Greenwich, CT,
landowners, a "Joseph Brundige" who on May 17, 1715, bought land of
Richard Scofield and others.
